Error

Error is the word A Course in Miracles uses to reframe our understanding of – and thus our response to – sin. An error is simply confusion about the truth which can be corrected. It calls for teaching rather than punishment, amendment rather than castigation. The primary error is our belief in the reality of separation, but a host of related errors follow from that one. The Holy Spirit, who is our teacher, shows us how to distinguish what is false from what is true, and thus remember what we are in truth. All errors occur at the level of mind, where their correction is as easy as choosing truth rather than consenting to be decieved.
