The Little Willingness is the course’s description of what is asked of us in return for the gift of salvation. We are not required to make a grand or Herculean effort. Salvation simply asks that we bring to becoming willing – even only a little – and open-minded to the possibility of another way. Since our current, ego-based way of seeking happiness and inner peace isn’t working, can we not consider an alternative? Indeed, is that not the whole reason we are studying ACIM in the first place? Thus, the course does not advocate a heavy-handed practice. Rather, our study and practice should reflect the light yoke and easy burden Jesus promised in the traditional gospels. Our practice is the happy one of accepting the love that is given to us and sharing it with the world in order to remember it.
