I am a teacher of A Course in Miracles.
I am here to share with you, as best as I am able, my understanding of A Course in Miracles, and how it works in practice. The Course needs to be understood in order to be lived, and it must be lived if it is going to heal.
Formally, teaching is the extension – through blog posts, newsletters, books, video, meeting groups and 1:1 dialogues – of understanding and practice. It is a way of thinking aloud together – over time and in various media, critically and with care – about salvation. How do we discern between ego and the Holy Spirit? What is separation? How can our sins be forgiven?
We need each other for that work. Specifically, we need to be in dialogue with one another. Nobody studies or practices A Course in Miracles alone. Nor is anybody healed alone.
My strength is a solid grasp of the material in its native context (essentially: Christian, Freudian and Neo-Platonic which, together, are a kind of Vedantic), combined with a nontrivial devotion to living it. Theory without application is sterile and thus unhelpful. To be healed is to be coherent at all the levels.
A Course in Miracles changed my life. It changed my mind about my identity and as a result it changed my life. It changed the world in which I live. It touched all my relationships, bringing balance and peace to each of them. The work is ongoing but the fruits (which are peace and happiness) are more or less instant. This is my witness! If I can help you, I will.
In my experience, A Course in Miracles is hard work. It challenges us. We have to show up for it in a focused way. It is a spiritual path that creates joy and peace, but asks in turn for attention and discipline. Imagine Jesus were to appear at your door with a one-year plan for the transformation of the universe. What would you do? What would you say?
If A Course in Miracles is your path – it may not be and it doesn’t have to be – but if it is, then the Word of God is in your hands, and the peace of Christ is at the door. A new life calls. Your sins are forgiven; Love holds everything. It is time to take your place among the saviors of the world.
I am here to help you with that, if you would like. To encourage you, argue with you, answer questions for you, laugh with you, and – over and over and over – choose again with you. What I offer has but one purpose because together we have only one need – to remember and live out together our function of loving in a loveless place.
Thank you for being here. If I can be helpful in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out.
