Learning and teaching are metaphors for how a split mind remembers its fundamental oneness. Adopting the framework of a class, A Course in Miracles introduces students to a “teacher” or “guide,” who gently educates them on the dysfunction of their current way of thinking and living, and – using repetition and comparison – encourages a new way of thinking that leads to the remembrance of love and the end of fear. All students are miracle workers – teachers of love – because love is remembered by teaching. Effectively, students remember the Gifts of God to them, by giving those gifts away to others. This is a natural attribute of the living which we have forgotten.
