Love is tantamount to God in A Course in Miracles. It does not refer to the specialness-based love of bodies (even though that can be turned to helpful learning via the holy relationship) but rather to a divine love that does not perceive differences and knows all life as one. This is not a love to which we are party in separation – it is simply an ideal – but when we learn with the Holy Spirit, this Love gently begins calling to us, and its call becomes the beacon that guides us home. We are not separate from God but are aspects of God’s Creation, which is Love Itself. Thus, our spiritual identity crisis – which A Course in Miracles is given in part to heal – ends in remembering the Love that is our Source, our home and our essence.
